Blinko DM is a bi-directional communication channel between your business and its customers. Customers can start a DM with any business they follow, right from the Blinko Spots app — typically for support, or to ask something their business's AI Copilot couldn't answer (see "Blinko Copilot: your AI marketing assistant"). And you can reach or follow up with any customer the same way.
What you can send — personal, one customer at a time:
- checkText messages, photos, and emojis
- checkPersonalized coupons and offers
- checkPayment requests
- checkEvent invites
- checkCampaign and automation buttons the customer can act on directly in the thread
The thread is also your record. DM keeps track of every automation response the customer makes: respond to a payment request, and the receipt posts right into the conversation. Everything remote that ever happened between you and this customer — messages, offers, payments, confirmations — is visible in one place.
Two ways to start or continue a conversation in Blinko Local:
- checkFrom the Customers tab — select a customer and tap the DM button (see "Blinko Local app: the Customers tab")
- checkFrom the Business tab — the top right shows your recently received DMs; open one and respond (see "Blinko Local app: the Business tab")
Inside a conversation, tap [+] to attach an action: pick any campaign (a coupon, for example) or an automation (like a payment request) and send it to that customer — the ask and the response stay in the same thread (see "Messaging and auto-reply" for the inbox and auto-reply setup).
