The Scan button opens the QR code scanner — this is how you help customers redeem a coupon or discount. When a customer receives a coupon or offer from one of your campaigns, it appears on their phone as a QR code. They show it; you scan it.
The scan does the checking for you: it validates that the coupon was genuinely delivered by your business through one of your campaigns — no squinting at screenshots, no wondering whether an offer is real or expired. On redemption confirmation, you grant the customer the promised coupon or offer value.
- checkCustomer shows the coupon QR on their phone
- checkYou tap Scan and point the camera at it
- checkBlinko validates it's your coupon, from your campaign
- checkConfirm the redemption and grant the promised value
- checkThe redemption is recorded automatically
Can't scan for a technical reason — cracked screen, glare, camera trouble? Enter the code shown on the customer's coupon instead to complete the redemption manually.
Every redemption you confirm is collected by Blinko and made available as reports and analytics history — so you always know which campaigns are actually bringing customers through the door, and each customer's redemptions appear on their profile (see "How to manage customers using Blinko" and "Key concepts: check-ins, redemptions, and campaign types").
