Most local businesses can't answer "who are my best customers?" Blinko builds a customer base from QR scans — organized, measurable, and actionable — without collecting anyone's personal contact information.

The pain: you see transactions, not people. The register tells you what sold; it doesn't tell you who keeps coming back, who quietly stopped, or who your most valuable regulars are. Building a customer list the traditional way means asking for phone numbers and emails — awkward for your staff, increasingly unwelcome to customers, and a database you then have to maintain.
The Blinko way: your customer base builds itself. Every first-time QR scan adds that customer to your business — no form, no contact exchange. Offline QR placements at your location, the on-screen code in the Blinko Local app, and a standing habit of promoting the scan quietly accumulate customers for you every day (see "QR code display best practices" and "QR code promotion best practices").
From the Customers tab in Blinko Local (mobile app or web portal), you see every active customer, organized by recency: Active Today, Active This Week, Active Earlier. Customers appear under an @handle — you know them and can reach them, yet no personal information ever changed hands.
Tap any customer to see who they really are to your business:
- checkSince when they've been your customer, and their last activity
- checkTheir engagement history — visits, coupon redemptions, payments and other actions
- checkHow many times they've visited
- checkHow much they've spent with your business
And the detail screen isn't just a report — it's where you act. Send the customer a DM, a special-treatment coupon or discount, or a payment request, right from their profile (see "Customers: your follower list and profiles", "Messaging and auto-reply", and "Payments: connect and request payments").
